    There is a weekly said Eucharist at St. Giles' at 5:15. This one, during Holy Week, will mean that people can join in with devotional atmosphere of the week, as we prepare ourselves to remember Christs action on the cross, and his resurrection.

    Remembering the actions of Christ as he washed his disciples feet, in this service the clergy follow his example. The service will include a celebration of the Eucharist, and the stripping of the alters, leaving the Church bare for Good Friday.

    There will be a vigil following the service until 9pm.

    This is a silent vigil, reminding us of the watching of the disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane. It follows the Maunday Thursday service of the stripping of the alters.

    This service is a long meditation on the last hours of the Cross. People are able to come in and out of the service as they would like, though we do ask people to do so during the music.

    This is a moving experience of remembrance as we remember the day that Jesus died.

    Starting our Good Friday services, this service is a bit more relaxed than the other services. It is a family-friendly service that will explore the meaning of the day in accessible way.

    This service heralds the returning of the light by the lighting of a fire, from which candles will be lit to take the light into Church. The light symbolising the return of the light in Christ.

    This service will be followed by a vigil, a time of watching in prayer, contemplating the actions that Jesus took in his last days.

    There will be a short gap between the service and the vigil so that those that want to leave may.
